Science Stream with Maths. Although any +2 stream with Maths is sufficient for appearing in NATA, learning Physics at +2 level would give you an advantage. For JEE main and advanced , +2 with PCM is compulsory.
Subjects to focus: Maths with emphasis on Trigonometry, Algebra and Calculus. Generally 50% marks in aggregate is required for admission and higher cut offs may be expected at good institutions. Therefore you should also prepare well in all subjects to score a good aggregate score.

The architectural industry has long held a low unemployment rate. According to U.S. News & World Report, as of 2017 the percentage of architects without a job was just 1.9 % and predicted job growth remains steady.
As technology and innovation continue to evolve in the industry, a number of emerging trends will positively shape the future of architecture. 3D virtual design, architectural robots and 3D printers will redefine the role of architects. The idea of vertical cities and vertical farming are becoming ever popular and architects have to take up the challenge of building environmentally sustainable cities.
To enter this field as an Associate Professor in a degree level architecture institution, you should have a First class B Arch degree and at least one year experience or a first class M Arch degree.
To enter at higher positions you may require a doctorate and/or more years of experience.
After completing B Arch, you can do M Arch (and PhD if you so desire) and apply for professorship in Colleges of Architecture.

If you are inclined towards design and feel that architectural design is not your interest, you can go for the Master of Design (M.Des.) programme after B.Arch.
Admission is based on Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) which assesses the candidate’s aptitude for design, involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem solving skills. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay. It is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Kanpur.
Design as a career holds high prospects in the fields of textile design, furniture design, jewellery design, industrial design, and product design.
