As a hospital manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and controlling all the functional areas of a hospital.
Hospital administrators or managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of a hospital. They oversee the staff (including physicians, nurses and technicians), policies, practices and finance of the hospital. They ensure that all departments are running effectively.
Studying any stream at plus two level will suffice for admission into management courses.
Taking Science with Physics ,Chemistry and Biology and going for medical or Paramedical courses are a recommendable path for hospital administration aspirants, as few of the masters program admits students exclusively from these backgrounds.
You can either go for any degree in Bachelors level or do a Bachelors in Hospital Administration. Bachelors in Hospital Administration/Management is not a common course at UG level. Only a few Colleges are providing this 3 year program.
Aspirants for a career in Healthcare management, can do a bachelor’s in medical/paramedical courses as well.
You can specialise in Hospital management by doing MBA/PGDM in Hospital Management /Administration. Duration of these program is usually 2 years.

Many of the prominent institutes admit only health care professionals who have a degree or PG in medical or allied courses to hospital or health care administration/management programs.
