Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level to be eligible for admission to an undergraduate course in Engineering. Although you can take Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology or a Technical Vocational subject as a compulsory third subject, it is advisable to take chemistry since it is an important component in the entrance examinations for engineering courses in India.
Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology is a four year course offered by Universities and Institutes of Technology in India and abroad.
After graduation, you can take an M Tech / ME degree course in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronic & Computer Engineering , which is of 2 year duration and offers various specialisations. You can also take up the equivalent MS degree course offered by foreign universities and by select institutions in India.
Some institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology offer an integrated Dual degree combining B Tech and M Tech which is of 5 year duration.
Taking up research and obtaining a PhD in related specialisations will give you an edge in choosing a research oriented career in academia or the industry.
