As a social entrepreneur you will be doing business for a social cause. Your focus will not only be the profit but also the social or ecological change you want to make.
A social entrepreneur will use business methods to address a social or environmental problem. They will conduct research and define a particular social problem and then organize, create and manage a social venture to attain the desired change which may or may not be a lifetime process. They will be spreading awareness about their mission, and persuading people to be a part of the change. They will also engage in a process of continuous innovation, adaptation, and learning.
Taking any stream in plus two would enable you to pursue a higher studies in Entrepreneurship.However taking the Commerce stream would be advisable as it gives you a basic idea about the commerce and business environment.
You may take a bachelor’s degree in any discipline as there is no formal qualification for becoming an entrepreneur. Taking a BBA in Entrepreneurship which is of three years duration,is advisable
To be a social entrepreneur it will be an added advantage if you are an MBA graduate in Social Entrepreneurship. This program of 2 years can be pursued after graduation in any discipline.
