As an agriculture engineer, you will be able to integrate technology with farming by going into the fields, identify and analyse the problem and develop strategies, tools and equipments to solve the problems to ensure sustainable growth and efficiency of agriculture processes and practices.
An agriculture engineer develop and use various agricultural strategies to increase the efficiency and productivity and aim to make agriculture more easier process . They collaborate with farmers and others to identify root causes of the issues and solve it and incorporate computer and advanced technology to agricultural practices and try to reduce the cost and increase the profit by replacing human labour and utilising machines and technology for various agricultural activities. scientists research new ways to ensure food safety as well as improve the taste and nutrition of the food. Stability and maturity in raw ingredients is checked to ensure products meet required safety standards, quality, and nutrient values.They take charge of inspecting safety compliance with government regulations in regards to sanitation, waste management standards, and quality and work towards the overall improvement of food like texture, flavor, color, chemical composition, convenience and nutritional value.
Candidate should opt science stream at the plus two level with PCB/PCM (Mathematics is recommended) and pass it with at least 50% marks.
Pursue B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering from a good university with an aggregate of minimum 55%. The course span is for 4 years.
Pursue M. Tech in Agricultural Engineering from an accredited university. This is a 2 year course.
Pure research takes place when a student decides to do a PhD in Agricultural Engineering. This may span from 3 to 5 years or more than that.
