Event managers plan, organise, promote and run events, conferences and functions for a variety of organisations, communities, groups and individuals.
An event planner ensures everything related to an event is taken care of, from idea conception to programming and day-of logistics. An event planner is charged with creating experiences and bringing visions to life. Meeting with clients, managing vendor relationships and client communications, establishing and negotiating contracts, and managing budgets are all part of the job.
Candidates with a +2 qualification (any stream) are eligible for higher studies in event management.
Only very few institutes provide a bachelors degree in this core area( like BBA/BMS in event management). Someone interested to pursue a career in event management can do an undergraduate in any degree and go for a specialisation in PG .

Masters in event management are 2 year post graduation program ,for which graduate in any discipline is the minimum eligibility for admission. MBA/MA in Event Management are the common courses available in this area.
