How to become a botanist?

Step 1
Take science stream with biology

The minimum eligibility is at least a 55% aggregate score in science stream with physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology as the main subjects.

Step 2
Take BSc Botany

This is a 3 year course. This is the minimum requirement for post graduation in the field of Botany.

Note :

An undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences would also make you eligible for post graduation.

Step 3
Take MSc Botany

Msc Botany is a 2 year course. The minimum requirements and the admission requirements would vary depending on the institutions.

Step 4
Take Mphil/PhD

After pursuing MSc, A higher degree would make you eligible for research related careers.
