Statistician are educated professionals who do research on data and develop statistical theories and apply these theories to find solutions to problems in areas like engineering, business, science-related technologies etc. They will be involved in conducting surveys and collection, validation and applications of the data. They also design statistical or mathematical models to help them with their data analysis.
Studying mathematics or statistics as a subject at plus two level and securing a good score in these subjects would be a prerequisite for admission into a bachelor degree in Statistics.
The common course offered at the UG level in this area is Bsc/BA statistics. The duration of the course is usually three years.
