The work of homeopathic doctors include treating patients with medicines based on ‘like treats like’ principle. A homeopathic doctor treats allergies, migrain, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, among other diseases. The treatment is aimed not just at curing the symptoms, but takes into account the physical, psychological and emotional aspects of the patient.
Studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the +2 level and securing a minimum score in these subjects would be a prerequisite for admission into Homeopathy courses.
The common course offered at the UG level in this area is BHMS.The course is spread over a period of 5 ½ years including compulsory rotatory Internship of one year duration after passing the final degree examination.
After completing the UG degree, you can either go for MD (Hom.) in India or foreign universities and then to the doctoral level.
